Welcome to my little slice of paradise in Venice Beach! 🌊 I recently transformed my cozy beach shack into what I lovingly call my mermaid beach shack. I wanted a space that reflected my love for the ocean and the laid-back vibes of Venice Beach, while also being functional and easy to maintain. The goal? Light, airy, and organized with a touch of coastal charm like the feeling of Malibu.

The first step in my makeover was painting the walls white. This instantly made the space feel bigger and brighter. White walls are like a blank canvas that allow the decor and personal touches to shine while amplifying natural light—a must for any beach shack!

Living in a smaller space means storage is key. I found chic yet affordable storage solutions on Amazon that helped me maximize every corner. Think woven baskets, sleek shelving units, and multipurpose furniture that keeps everything tidy but stylish.
Step 3: Greenery (The Faux Way) 🌿
To add life and vibrancy, I incorporated faux plants throughout the space. They’re perfect for someone like me who loves the look of greenery but doesn’t always have the time to care for real plants. A mix of lush leaves and coastal grasses brought in that tropical mermaid vibe.
Step 4: Coastal Decor on a Budget
Amazon was my go-to for decor! I picked up throw pillow covers, mermaid-inspired artwork, and textured rugs that tied the theme together. Accessories like driftwood-inspired art that I make myself and ocean-scented candles completed the look.
Step 5: The Final Touches ✨
The transformation was magical. From cozy nooks perfect for journaling to a living room that feels like a beach retreat, every corner of my home now feels intentional and inviting.
